COMBAT SOUND IS BACK!

Well, not really but we're actually got some fun stuff coming up starting with a new mix. Aiming to have it ready for summer and we can already now reveal that it's gonna be a mix focused on the core of Combat Sound and why we started this thing.

In the words of George Costanza...

Here's the second mixtape made in 2000 or 2001 (I'm not sure). The content varies from real dancehall classics to som buttery r&b, hiphop and a lot of blends/remixes. Beware of the bass as it's quite loud. Enjoy!
Also, a reminder of what's up this Saturday the 13th of December @ Pleasant.
Here's the Facebook event. See You there!

Hasn't been much action here lately so here's a nice one for ya'll as a try to catch up. We're getting closer and closer to where it all began for Combat by soon posting the very first Combat mix .
But first we'll have to deal with vol. 3. Not sure when it was recorded but I think the Unstoppable riddim was pretty fresh off the presses when I mixed it. Hope You'll enjoy it!

In 2005 we did a mix in cooperation with clothing brand Skank. The selection features classic Penthouse singles, some "hits" and overall Combat favourites. If you liked the FeelGood-mixes you'll like this one. Check it out!

Mixtapetime again! Special thanks and big ups goes out to Chris from Ziontists Sound who created the cover for us (he's also the man behind the Combat Sound logo). Continuing in the same style as previous volumes this is a mix of both dancehall and hiphop and of course a few blends. The fourth volume was mixed in 2002. Enjoy!

Time for a new "old" mixtape! This one was put together in 2002 and I have to say that this one is in the top 3 of all mixes we've put together so far. A blend of remixes, dancehall and hiphop once again with big tunes from artists such as Vybz Kartel with one of his first hits on Jammys "Mexican Riddim", Innocent Crew with sort of a cover, a huge breakthrough-hit from Sean Paul and Ward 21 with some speedtoast to name a few. This one is exclusive and has never been released before but we're pretty sure You'll enjoy it!

Time for yet another mixtape. I've actually lost the cover for this one but in 2003 when it was released we had some copies at the Skank store in Stockholm. Perhaps some of You have the original cd left? If so we'd really appreciate if You found the time to scan the cover and mail it to us. Anyway, this one has got nuff heavy riddims on it. A dancehall mix straight up and down but still of course some hiphop and remixes as well. Enjoy!

We continue the mixtape extravaganza with the 7th volume of early Combat mixes. This one hails from 2004 and features both dancehall, mashups and hiphop. Ting called "Riddimrider"!

We continue our sharing of old Combat Sound Mixtapes. This time it's the mix that later on was chopped up to become the infamous remix- and mashup-mixtape "Shooked Up Remixtime!". Anyway, here's a full 80 minutes selection of dancehall, remixes and soca made in 2006 for Ya'll to enjoy. Notice the fancy cover.

Since we're such kind persons we thought we'd sum up some recently made mixtapes for You to enjoy. Some have been released here on the blog before and some through other channels. A reason why we do this is to get You ready for the upcoming second part of the 2008 FeelGoodMix where Combat Sound joins forces with Stereo Steppers Hi-Power.

The "Vintage Selection"-mix includes nuff classics from early Studio 1. Selected by Mastah-L.

Another one put together by Mastah-L. This time stricktly tunes from the Channel One studio.

This is the first "FeelGoodMix" recorded in 2005. The motto is nice vibes and easy listening.

Second "FeelGoodMix" from 2006. Continuing in the same style as the first but more tracks.

The latest volume put together in 2008. Nuff big tunes and vibes. Enjoy!

ps. We've still got a lot more mixes to come. If You want to get them first - join us on Facebook ds.
